THe Story of our
Postcards & Invitations

It's taken awhile, but Jessi and I have both grown to love Los Angeles. The messiness, the traffic, the people, the beach, the mountains, the architecture that seems to have no rhyme or reason, the neighborhoods.

I ended up here from New York, Jessi from Austin, TX. She had the heat, I had the grueling city.

People from New York and San Francisco like to criticize Los Angeles. They say it's superficial, it makes you soft, its a Hollywood wasteland. Interestingly, Los Angelinos never even think of the other cities, it's just too sunny here.

We wanted to honor the city where we fell in love and where we have made our home for the last 5 years. So we had the idea of the old and the new Los Angeles.

OLD LOS ANGELES AND SO-CAL

We found vintage, white linen postcards on ebay and bought lots of them. Most were written on the back, so we found postcard stickers that allow you to reuse them. We wanted each one of you to get a SAVE THE DATE that was singular, like a gift. We've grown to love these old postcards.

New Los Angeles

Every day in the city, you witness so much life. We wanted to create invitations that showcased the daily life we see in the city. We designed the invitations and hand-made each one with a different polaroid image of our Los Angeles.

Using Polaroids gave us an object that we could affix to each invitation, choose specific photos for different people, and spend a moment thinking of you, the receiver! Much closer in our minds to a small gift. The very opposite of receiving an email.
